To maximise your results, you need to be eating the right foods. It is as simple as that! The clever part is eating the right foods in accordance to your body type and genetic make up.
At Odyssey Fitness, we go way beyond offering general guidlines towards your meals. You can expect exact meal plans based on foods which will increase your rate of fat loss and complement your exercise programme.
Nutrition is a powerful fat loss tool which you can capitalise on if provided with the right advice. You will never get the most out of your exercise if you don’t eat the right foods.
Abdominal fat is an issue which we regularly deal with. The key to a flat stomach is to choose carbohydrates which coincide with your genetic ability to process them. We can very specifically show you how tolerant your body is at metabolising carbohydrates based on where your fat is distributed. Better still, we will tell you exactly which carbs you should stick to to drop fat quickly.
Several other issues inwhich we are regularly presented with include fat around the legs and buttock. If you have read any of our articles on manipulating hormones, you will know that this area on any man or woman is very sensitive to oestrogen imbalances. By eating the right foods, you can help your liver to detox unwanted oestrogens which cause fat storage in these areas.
Another fat storage tyrant is the effects of having high levels of cortisol (a stress hormone). The wrong foods for your body type will cause an unwanted rise in cortisol and force your body to store fat rather than burn it. Doesn’t sound fair does it?
As you can start to see, nutrition goes well beyond simply counting calories. It is the effect of food once inside your body which dictates where your fat is stored and how effective your body is at burning it.
So we take nutrition very seriously at Odyssey Fitness because we know how important it is to getting the most out of a programme.
